Sunday, January 24: Afternoon at the home of Shelley Beard-Schleigh Topic:
Master Class Sharing Opportunity. Teachers
are asked to bring a student, who will have a lesson with another teacher, master class style, other teachers observing.
Teachers are welcome to observe if they do not want to or are unable to bring a student. More specifics will be coming
on this. March 11 and May 13 are the other dates. Topics and hosts are open for suggestions. Please
feel free to participate.
Piano Teachers’ Mtgs
Teacher apprenticeship- Fridays-

We
are currently conducting a teacher education class is called "Philadelphia Suzuki Piano Basics Teacher Apprenticeship
Program."
Meetings
are on Fridays, 10-12:30 pm, 6-8 weeks per session.
The purpose of the class is to research and develop
solid Piano Basics skills, as taught by Dr. Haruko Kataoka. The focus is on basic beginning skills as the foundation
for developing technical and musical abilities throughout the repertoire.
The format of the program is teacher lessons in a small group setting, as led
by Carole Mayers. Class discussion of selected topics are sometimes included.
